Shnelli office update

As I haven't seen Shnelli maja I went today to have a look myself. The park across the street should be nice in the summer to chill out at lunch time or so. I couldn't hear any noise from trains. Well, it seems like a nice and proper office building and it felt kind of right when I walked around there. It was hard to imagine how our new office will look like (check the attached pictures) but I hope our designer does - we meet next week Monday.

Update about the status (as presented in the info session):

    • contract negotiations are ongoing
    • floorplan is fixed (walls and room locations)
    • we are in progress of getting furniture offers

Marit will hand out some floor plans so we can all save some table location options
This is needed for planning the electricity and air conditioning locations, why is it needed:

    • each room could have 50 electrical outlets + 10 electricity poles (whatever those are called) .. but we need to live with this later on and drag UPS cables all over the place .. and it will look ugly as well
    • there are 4 conditioners planned for each room... nobody should sit directly under the conditioner so they need at least some most probable locations for tables
    • yes we can move the tables around later on however we wish, but then it is up to us when we sit directly under the air conditioner

Basically now is the chance to come up with the options to have the best room arrangements as they will move the air conditioning and electricity to the best location based on our samples we provide

some additional information to help you with room planning:

      • table size is 120x70 and on the drawings it is with correct proportions in relation to the room dimensions
      • walls are huge non-see-through class areas (it will be painted appropriately).. there will be some sturdy wall about 50cm from the floor.. and then the rest is pretty much glass
      • whiteboards will be most likely movable and not attached to the wall (so tables can be located anywhere in the room)
      • conditioner dimensions are 60x60
