On the 30th of June Aqris hosted Tallinn Developers' Club (DevClub.eu) gathering. DevClub is a very fast growing Estonian IT community which unites all kinds of experts together for a noble purpose of experience sharing. People gather together, chat and do presentations, start up discussions and seek for expertise. At the same time DevClub is a fully self-organizing community, where everyone can contribute to the whole. DevClub's members often say that they are an "open-source community", because of its open and informal nature. Members of the club are always seeking for widening their horizons: even Semiotics (done by Jelena Grigorjeva, a guest-star from the University of Tartu) was covered on one of the previous sessions!
On the 30th of June 43 people (out of 40 places available due to the room size) participated in a session dedicated to databases. Main topics covered: Sybase and OLAP databases (by Sergei Mudretsov), Oracle secrets (by Martin Kiuru), Evolutionary DB design (by Andrei Solntsev). This was an awesome session, take a look yourself! ![]()

The main communication language in the DevClub is Russian; however, it's understood that living in sole isolation is not favoring the development of the community. DevClub is always open for any initiative. You can always track what's happening on DevClub official site www.devclub.eu (it's in Russian only, but hey, who cares when you have Google Translate
).
