The 07.11.2009 Ford Ironman Florida 2009 edition was won by first-time Ironman Champions Kirill Kotshegarov of Estonia in 8 hours, 24 minutes and 39 seconds which is also a new Estonian record! While not in the top 10 after the swim, Kotshegarov had steadily moved through the field behind race leader Luke McKenzie at the end of the bike. …

Our friends at Regio now have their own blog. Go and have a look. Today, Aqris has entered the world of Android. Our first application, PicUP was successfully released to the Android Market. In the few hours it has been available, we already have had many downloads and feedback from the users. Hey, Tomorrow is the DAY when the first event of the "Hansapank tervisejooks" series will take place!!! * The START is open from 16.00 til 20.00 , so the Aqris SK Team will leave at 16.00 from the office As I haven't seen Shnelli maja I went today to have a look myself. The park across the street should be nice in the summer to chill out at lunch time or so. I couldn't hear any noise from trains. Well, it seems like a nice and proper office building and it felt kind of right when I walked around there. It was hard to imagine how our new office will look like (check the attached pictures) but I hope our designer does - we meet next week Monday.

Hei everybody! From now on, we can record important meetings or other conversations using our new good quality voice recorder - Digital Voice Recorder DS-30. We already tested it today in 2 meetings, audio files produced will be attached to the meeting minutes page. One of the meetings was project analysis session and information from the meeting will be available for everybody shortly from [here|https://intranet.aqris. … In Estonian Information Technology College (Eesti Infotehnoloogia Kolledž or ITK - http://www.itcollege.ee/) it is possible to get internship credit for attending "field trips" to IT companies. For this, Estonian IT companies can organize visit sessions for ITK students. Aqris is holding this visit session on the 11th of December, we are inviting 15 students here Auris and Rene informed me about the idea/opportunity and we quickly started working on it, with help from Mart as well. …

I visited Guangzhou to get to know Chinese culture and get see myself what one hears in everyday news - the fast economic development. Also, I was meeting with a few Chinese software companies evaluating the possibilities and environment for outsourcing. All of the companies were very interested in business and their growth rates are phenomenal. However, I got the impression they are more about quantity than quality. … I didn't know Tõnis very well in his private life but having worked with him on several projects I think I got to know him quite well as a developer. He was one of these people you can always trust to get the job done. I remember that on the first project I worked with him he was assigned a task to write a driver for Huawei SMS protocol.
